JOHN’S THOUGHTS
That Magical Feeling Of Being A Movie Fan Is Back
It’s starting to feel normal again. It took a while… a LONG while… but movie going and the wonder of it all is at long last here again.
The pandemic almost killed the movie industry, and for us movie fans it took away our movie going experience, something I don’t think we appreciated enough until the global crisis hit. But even as the pandemic was coming to an end and the world started to return to “normal”, we warned that the effects of the pandemic were still going to be felt for a while… and sadly it was.
But now here we are. It’s June 2023 and movie going life is starting to feel like it did back in 2019. For me personally, the wonder of movie going is back, thanks largely to the fact that just recently I’ve been able to see no less than 5 movies in theaters that I absolutely love. Do you realize how long it’s been since I’ve been able to say that?
Joy Ride, Flash, John Wick 4, Guardians 3, Across The Spider-Verse (not to mention a handful of movies that I’ve also “liked”)… and with more movies coming in just the next 4 weeks I’m hoping it continues.
I admit I took this feeling for granted back in 2019. I’ll never take it for granted again.
